the Great Barrier Reef.

Heron Island you can walk off the beach and swim amongst an endless array of
coral in the crystal clear waters which teem with an equally brilliant display
of fish and marine life. Away from the water you can undertake romantic
rainforest walks.

the interesting and comprehensive array of fauna that visit Heron Island.
These include nesting turtles, herons, shearwaters and noddy terns have chosen this World Heritage listed
island to call home. In
the evenings during the turtle season you may watch the giant sea turtles wander onto the beach to lay their precious
eggs. Alternatively,
enjoy the balmy nights with a quiet drink in Baillie's Bar or dancing in the Pandanus Lounge,
or enjoy a romantic
stroll on the beautiful
sands
surrounding the island.
